About the Role
Are you a skilled maintenance professional looking for a rewarding opportunity? As a Maintenance Technician III, you’ll be a vital part of our team, ensuring our production and building equipment operates at peak performance. Your work will minimize downtime, maintain safety standards, and contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations. Here’s what you’ll do:
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal functionality
- Maintain control and motor systems to support seamless production processes
- Diagnose equipment issues and repair or replace defective parts to keep operations running smoothly
- Conduct basic welding and fabrication to support maintenance needs
- Uphold safety and environmental guidelines to create a secure workplace
- Collaborate daily with Production and Shipping Managers to prioritize maintenance tasks
- Drive 5S workplace organization in the maintenance area and support it across manufacturing and warehousing
- Research and purchase parts for machine breakdowns and spare parts replacement
- Boost machine uptime by ensuring corrective (CM) and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks are completed and documented
Qualifications
To excel in this Maintenance Technician Job, you’ll need a mix of technical expertise, communication skills, and physical capability. Here’s what we’re looking for:
Technical Skills:
- Advanced mechanical and controls experience in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Basic understanding of motor controls and ability to read wiring diagrams
- Welding proficiency
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
Communication Skills:
- Good command of the English language
- Strong communication skills for teamwork and coordination
Other Requirements:
- Basic math skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Comfort working at heights (no fear of heights)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior process machinery troubleshooting experience
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bonus: Additional certifications or training in relevant technical areas
Physical Demands
This role requires physical agility and stamina:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capacity to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb towers up to 35 feet high
- Flexibility to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, or bend
- Strong motor skills for hands-on tasks
