Job Description – Warehouse Worker

As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the production floors and ensuring efficient material movement within the plant and warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company standards.
- Perform daily inspection and maintenance of equipment, ensuring functionality and safety.
- Follow all departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support and communicate effectively with all departments.
- Work overtime as assigned to meet production and shipping schedules.
- Manage inventory by locating materials, performing cycle counts, and pulling materials for work orders.
- Load, unload, and relocate materials as required by inventory, production, shipping, and quality control needs.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
- Operate dock equipment and report any issues identified during operation.
- Assist in receiving materials, including raw materials, packaging, and other supplies.
- Verify, identify, and inspect incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods.
- Perform inventory transactions using barcode scanners and computer systems.
- Understand shipping and loading requirements, including customer-specific instructions.
- Optimize warehouse space through effective warehousing techniques.
- Troubleshoot and resolve material problems, including inventory discrepancies and freight damage.
- Ensure quality control of pallets, cores, cradles, boxes, and other packaging materials received.
Qualifications:
- Good work and attendance record.
- Valid lift truck license or ability to attain certification.
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds on a continual basis.
- Strong math skills and basic knowledge of inventory systems.
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds to waist level.
- Ability to handle and pull full totes with a fork truck.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, or stoop for the entire shift.
- Capability to handle organic matter daily and wear appropriate PPE.
- Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE.
Work Schedule:
- 40+ hours weekly with flexible hours based on department needs.
- Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
